Thank you for the offer, but I'm kind of fanatical about only posting stuff where I can edit it, because like every time I reread something I find a comma in the wrong spot and I HAVE TO GO BACK AND FIX IT OR I GO AUUGH because I got my start as a copy editor and some instincts just hang around. ^^;;
But if you want to link to it here, or if I ever post it on aff.net or something, I'd be filled with glee...
Totally understandable. *jots that down on her list of things to add in the big update she has planned*
Thanks again. ^_^
One Whoops, sorry, still in 2007- TWO years too late, I'm stumbling around everywhere in every fandom and, of course, instead of commenting on the actual fic (which was awesome and amazing and made me die and then resurrect myself just so I could re-read it. twice. just so you know. ...not that I haven't come to expect great things of you, of course; please keep up your fic-writing!) I decide to comment on a comment:
Because that line about "only posting stuff where I can edit it, because like every time I reread something I find a comma in the wrong spot and I HAVE TO GO BACK AND FIX IT OR I GO AUUGH" is so very me I'd nearly be creeped out (only, I didn't get a start as a copy editor, but...pah. details, details) except, well, I'm not. (But, gods, my friends wish I wouldn't do that...they'd like to be able to read a story without me pulling a Jessie on them and posting it only, private-locked to just my own accounts.
Also, sheepish questions: Where is your IJ located? Are all of your fics located in your memories / is there anywhere I can find a listing of them? (or will I just have to run through all of your journal entries and hope they're all here?) (Because, you see, I'd love dearly to run through all of your fics again, I just don't have time to go through your journal; I will, though, if that's the only way to get them)
btw, please keep writing fic, even though I have no idea what the ETA on your profile means- care to explain so I don't bumble upon a bad place? (what's this about "fan journal banning sprees" and no keywords, no interests" and "any crusading maniacs misunderstanding Japanese fan terms", hum? This wasn't there the last time I scanned through your fics)
XD XD wow, I totally hadn't expected to get a comment on this fic two years later! This last year has been a total ficwriting void due to a series of real life crises and unexpected after-work time sinks like grad school classes I hadn't actually wanted to take but needed to, though, so I guess this *is* still one of the most recent things I've written... (sweatdrop)
I'm chibirisuchan at IJ too, I just haven't had time to sort out getting this journal mirrored there and stuff. (I haven't had time since August, mind. And that's a sign of just how much hell this past year has been. @_@)
The ETA on the profile is due to the same reason I made an IJ -- because of the whole strikethrough/boldthrough/LJ is taking any excuse it can find to ban fandom people problem. Once they started banning people for their interests, I figured let's make sure there's no interests here to be banned with. =_=;;
And for finding fics, I'm pretty sure I've got everything tagged -- go to chibirisuchan.livejournal.com/tag and the chapter links tags will get you to fic collections by fandom, or the particular fandom tags will have all the fics in 'em. I think I've got all the table of contents entries up to date, and if not there's only like one fic that wouldn't be in there and it's the newest thing posted in my journal IIRC...
I'm trying like mad to finish a set of 3 fics for Coyo that I was going to give her LAST Christmas and when I get those posted I'll make sure everything's up to date and try to sort out the IJ mirroring and stuff. Just wanted to make sure I used actual vacation time for fic purposes while I could! ^^;;;
:P No, actually it isn't one of the most recent things you've posted- I just have a bad habit of coming across fics too late to make much of an impact... (But, I was sifting through your fics in late 2006, before I moved and everything! WHUT. How did I miss this?) Ha, my 2007, too- like I said above, I had to move, which meant getting a new job (or constantly commuting a couple hundred miles each day and paying for it out of my paycheck, thank you but no</i>), not to mention my computer broke down after I moved in (something wrong with the start button, which is apparently the only thing these computer people are "unable to fix at the moment, so sorry, but we'll be sure to hold onto it for you and let you know if any repairs become available!" = me buying a new one. And, of course, the moment I've finally moved all of my back-up files onto it- its hard drive goes and crashes on me. All of this computer business put with moving and settling in meant that I had no Internet and, even if I had had it, (Come to think of it, I didn't write much either; in fact, I only made this LJ in November, 2007, when everything had finally passed and I had some breathing room. I'm hoping to catch up with all my reading in the next few months, though)
Really? Huh, fancy that. I thought I had already checked chibirisuchan.insanejournal.com- could've sworn it gave me a funky message about "this account not being available, please go to " or something like that. Except, now it works, so I must've been imagining things.
LJ is banning fandoms, and fandom-related interests? *interest is piqued* I haven't heard of that yet- whooboy, I wish them luck. Around 80% of LJ appears to have fandom in it somewhere, if not created specifically for fandom-usage.
Aha! It IS! (I feel so utterly stupid and useless now... XD;; )
Heh, well, good luck with sorting out everything- I know that it can get pretty overwhelming...(I tried it before, when I was helping a friend work through her old schoolwork and file and cross-post onto different sites / backup hard-drives for all these things. Agh, never again...until, of course, I decide to do it myself. That's a different story) But anyways, can't wait for the stories! (And I'm sure Coyo won't mind- stories are stories are AWESOME MADNESS WHEN THEY'RE FROM AN asdljk;-ly AMAZING AUTHOR LIKE YOU, as I'm sure she'd agree)
(Whoops, sorry for babbling so much- I'm betting that you still don't have much time in your life for these kinds of comments. Darn me and my chronic keyboard rambling problems)
Uh...please ignore the strange bolding. I put an </i> instead of a </b>, apparently. (Hope it doesn't distract too much... ^^;
